Overview
A screw conveyor uses a rotating helical screw blade inside a trough or tube to move liquid or granular materials. Widely used across bulk-handling industries, it offers a compact, reliable and economical method of conveying.
Units are commonly installed horizontally or at a slight incline for steady, efficient transport of semi-solids. When space permits, the conveyor may be inclined upward to both elevate and convey material. The rotating member of the system is often referred to simply as an auger.
